The difficulty level varies between each song. We have rated each arrangement using the following scale: -
2. Fairly Easy
4. Quite Hard
These terms are relative, but our difficulty rating will provide a general guide for bandleaders when deciding upon the complexity of a piece. TopDots arrangements are note-for-note accurate and as such there may be occasions when the 'normal' range of an instrument is exceeded.
As an example, the trumpet player may be required to play higher than 'top C' and saxophone players may need to play high into their harmonic range. All these factors, along with the key and vocal range are considered when deciding the difficulty level.
Please note, we regard 'Easy' as a band having the ability to sight-read the arrangement or to polish the performance of the piece with only minimal rehearsals.
